A solitary dolphin was observed swimming off south wall on Saturday morning. The animal appeared fully grown and in good body condition, so the slow
paced swimming was unusual. There have been a string of stranding’s in recent weeks, and it is possible that the animal may have been sick. However
with a full grown animal they often seek refuge in calm waters if they become separated from their pod and usually the best course of action is
to leave the animal alone.
