Local marine authorities sign MOU
TURTLES, whales and other marine creatures can be guaranteed the very best
care on the Coffs Coast.
The Coffs Harbour Pet Porpoise Pool and the Department of Environment,
Climate Change and Water yesterday signed an official memorandum of
understanding (MOU) after 40 years of helping each other out ‘unofficially’.
Pet Porpoise Pool managing director Paige Sinclair said it was ‘excellent’
the unwritten relationship was now official.
“This is a fantastic outcome for wild marine animals in the region – it means
there will be better outcomes for them to continue to thrive and survive in our
local waters. It’s great to see it come to fruition.”
